FCN (Family Care Network) is sponsored by The Department of Public Welfare for people who have the ACCESS card. Through this plan, consumers can get complete health care from birth through age 20.
EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment) is a part of the Medical Assistance Program. Through this federal-state partnership, low-income consumers are provided with comprehensive, preventive care and treatment in place of the episodic, crisis-oriented care they often receive. EPSDT exams are administered on a periodic, age-appropriate basis and include evaluations of physical, dental, and mental health status. Medically necessary subsequent treatment or corrective measures are also covered by EPSDT.
Automated Health Systems is contracted to administer all aspects of the Pennsylvania Fee-for-Service and Family Care Network EPSDT programs, including outreach, scheduling, referral and monitoring, and data management. As a result of AHS' tracking screenings, referrals and follow-up, consumers receive increased preventive services.
