Other CONSUMER services.
I Care is a voluntary managed care program for Milwaukee County individuals receiving Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. The program offers medical services through the Medicaid program that are coordinated with social service needs. The Enrollment Specialist conducts outreach telephone calls to eligible clients after they have received an initial packet of information. We also provide I Care with a list of individuals who are interested in enrolling in the special managed care program.

HMO Enrollment Presentations.
The Field Enrollment Specialists are available to provide up-to-date, accurate information on the HMO Enrollment process for professional groups. The presentation includes a detailed explanation of mandatory vs. voluntary enrollment, service areas and the timeline of the enrollment process, including receipt of the initial enrollment packet, the reminder notices, auto-assignment and confirmation of HMO membership. The presentation also describes how and when recipients may change their HMO. Training Opportunities.
The Project Trainers for Automated Health Systems offer free training opportunities throughout Wisconsin on Family Medicaid, BadgerCare and the Simplified Application. The trainings are conducted year round for community-based organizations and professional groups with an interest in the Medicaid Program. These groups include:

The Medicaid and BadgerCare Overview for Outreach sessions provide participants with current up-to-date information on Family Medicaid and BadgerCare and include training on how to complete and assist families with the simplified application. The training objectives are to:

• Identify clients who are potentially eligible for Family Medicaid and BadgerCare.
• Advise and assist clients with the Medicaid and BadgerCare application process.
• Provide clients with appropriate referrals for other services.
